Wyke Sixth Form College opened in 1988 and was originally intended for 16 – 19 year olds in the western part of Hull, but it very quickly gained a wider reputation beyond the city. Today many young people at schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire decide to come to us after they finish their GCSE examinations. The reputation of Wyke Sixth Form College now reaches beyond. Quite apart from international links that the College has developed, there is a growing number of young people coming to study at Wyke from all around the world.
It’s been another fantastic academic year at Wyke Sixth Form College. It began with the best ever set of AS, A2 & BTEC results, followed by students being made offers by Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
2012-2013 was also the year that Wyke students traveled the world, with visits to Iceland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, New York & South Africa. To view a short summary of the key events, visit our YouTube channel to watch a four minute video that illustrates why Wyke Sixth Form College is the sixth form of choice for students from Hull, the East Riding and North Lincolnshire.
