Biology Department Trip to Barcelona

In April 2009, the Biology department took a mixture of 1st and 2nd year A level students to Barcelona to study ecology.
They looked at sand dune succession, human influence on the dunes and other environments, woodland ecology, biodiversity, collected data and analysed results, all of which is linked to the Biology A level specifications.

Young Engineer to represent Britain

Philippa Clark from Wyke College,will set off for the USA to represent her country at the Intel-sponsored International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Reno, Nevada from 9th - 15th May.
She has earned the opportunity following her success at The Big Bang Fair, the first UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair, when she won the title Young Engineer for Britain.
