Louis Captains England

Louis Mobbs, a Wyke student currently studying A levels in P.E., Accounting and Law, has captained the English National College football team in a match in Spain against Valencia, which England won 2-1.
Louis first played at county level for Humberside, then went to summer training camp, before winning through several further stages to be selected for the national squad. Earlier this year he played in a friendly against Australia and he has just returned from a week in Spain. The England team enjoyed great success in Spain, with a 4-1 win over Benidorm, as well as the 2-1 victory over Valencia where Louis had the honour of leading the team.

Louis Mobbs, a Wyke student currently studying A levels in P.E., Accounting and Law, has been selected for the English National College football team. The competition is fierce and Louis has passed regional trials and North of England trials to get in the squad.
His debut will be at West Ham United's stadium against the Australian National Team in the New Year. Congratulations to Louis!

Wyke take Hull & East Ridings Title

Success again for winning Wyke Netball First Team!
Wyke Sixth Form College’s Netball First Team has been crowned the Hull and East Riding Schools under 19 Champions. They will go through to the regional stage of the National Schools Netball Competition as champions, after beating Beverley Longcroft 18-1 and drawing 5-5 with Hymers.
In October the team won the Hull under 19 Schools competition. The regional stage of the competition will take place on 4th February. Netball captain Natalie Barratt said ‘I’m really proud of the girls, as a team we worked so well together and I think we deserved what we achieved due to our hard work.’

Wyke Netball Team crowned Hull under 19 Champions

Wyke’s Netball First Team have been crowned the Hull Schools under 19 Champions. They beat Wilberforce, Hull College and Hymers in the county round of the national schools competition. The next round is on 9th November when they will compete against the top two teams from the East Riding.
Natalie Barratt, captain of the Wyke netball first team, said ‘We are really proud of ourselves as the team have only been together since September. We have worked hard to get where we are, it’s such an achievement. We’re so pleased to be champions and we’re looking forward to going further in the competition!’

Nine Goals in One Match

Daniel Hodson, who is studying P.E., Media and Film, has become the first Wyke football player to score 9 goals in one match! In a game against Hull College, which ended 9-1 to Wyke, Daniel scored three hatricks, a college record!
