The annual Wyke Sports Awards Evening took place at the KC Stadium. This was a chance to reflect on this academic year’s sporting successes and present a variety of awards.

Highlights of the evening included the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ which was presented to Danni Brettell for Netball. She has played at club and national level, as well as Superleague for both Leeds Carnegie and Loughborough Lightning, and also represented the British Colleges National Team, which is a first for a Wyke student. Awards were presented for Rugby, Girls Football, Netball, Football, Basketball as well as Inter-League and Inter-Tutor college teams. The final two awards of the evening were eagerly anticipated. Team of the Year went to the Netball 1st Team and Danny Garrod was named Sports Personality 2010.
