Who is the course for?
Anybody who is interested in the financial side of running a business. Accounting provides an excellent foundation for those wishing to pursue a career in the financial sector and for those considering starting their own business. It also develops valuable skills that have direct relevance to everyday life. Accounting is well regarded by universities and employers as a means of preparing for a number of higher education courses and areas of work. Students must have gained a minimum of grade C at GCSE Maths.
Content outline
There are four broad areas of study which include the preparation and interpretation of accounts for many businesses, including sole traders,manufacturing companies and larger limited companies.
