Content outline
Modules 1 & 2, (AS) Understanding of key concepts such as power, democracy and representation. An examination of the main institutions:- including Cabinet, Parliament, Prime Minister and pressure groups. Modules 3 & 4, (A2) United States politics.This part of the course examines the election and power of the United States President, US political parties and pressure groups. In addition students analyse the power of some of the key institutions of the USA including the Congress and the Supreme Court.
Method of assessment
100% examination in both AS and A2.
