Pre Nursing Programme | Enrichment @ Wyke 6th Form College

INTRODUCING THIS EXCITING ENRICHMENT

The Pre-Nursing programme is open to all students who wish to pursue a career in any field of nursing, such as:

Adult Nursing
Paediatric Nursing
Mental Health Nursing
Learning Disability Nursing

During the programme, students will be educated on the different nursing fields, and which is the most suited to their personal skills and attributes. This will be combined with external visits to university providers to explore their clinical suites, as well as guest speakers to deliver bespoke talks on UCAS applications, personal statement writing and how to be fully prepared for interviews.

Sessions will be tailored to first year and second year students to ensure appropriate support is given depending on where you are with your application process.

HOW OFTEN DOES THIS TAKE PLACE?

This enrichment takes place across two lunchtimes each half term.

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT?

You will get an initial education on the variety of nursing degrees available, bespoke UCAS support when applying to nursing degrees and interview support including practice interviews. You will also get the opportunity to hear from external speakers and have visits to clinical settings.
