Due to the current post holder accepting a promotion, an opportunity has arisen to play a major leadership role at one of the best Sixth Form Colleges in the country. Wyke is an established, popular Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation in our locality. The college draws students from across Hull and the Humber region and is the largest A-level provider in the area. A member of the Senior Leadership Team, the post-holder will have responsibility for ensuring that the college’s operations are delivered to a high level, providing a best-in-class service for students. Through appropriate targets and quality assurance metrics, they will deliver systems that are intuitive, smooth and efficient. Resources will be managed to deliver sustained investment and staff will receive the development they need to deliver this. More broadly, they will share responsibility with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and Corporation for planning the direction and focus of the College’s work and help to determine and meet operational objectives which serve the achievement of that direction and focus. Areas of responsibility will be premises and facilities including Health and Safety, IT support, finance, management information systems (MIS) including exams and central administration services.
The successful candidate will:
• Be an excellent strategic leader of people and operational manager
• Have successfully managed considerable resources and budgets to deliver high quality services and financial sustainability
• Be comfortable managing numerous work streams to a high standard
• Have designed, implemented, and improved significant systems and be able to evidence the impact of that
• Be capable of evaluating strategic options, assessing risk and making balanced decisions in complex circumstances
