Wyke is a rapidly growing, highly successful Sixth Form College with an outstanding reputation in the locality. The October 2013 Ofsted inspection reflected extremely positively on the College and value-added scores put our outcomes amongst the top in the country. The college draws students from Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and further afield.
The college has an ‘Outstanding’ science faculty which is heavily subscribed with increasing numbers. Teachers within the department support students with a range of extra-curricular revision workshops which have helped contribute to the department’s outstanding outcomes.
Wyke is looking to recruit an excellent Physics and science teacher to join this friendly and supportive department. You should be a well-qualified teacher and have excellent classroom skills which have led to a record of high student achievement. This would suit a newly qualified or experienced teacher skilled in delivering lessons with variety and pace who is looking for experience in post-16 education. Next academic year the successful candidate will teach A-Level Physics for 60% of their time and A-Level Applied Science or GCSE Science for the remainder.
