We require a Performing Arts and digital Music Technician to work within our college. The role will include providing support to and liaison with both departmental staff and students. Key responsibilities in the Performing Arts department will include leading on the setting up and troubleshooting of all technical equipment in the Theatre for live performances and student assessments, supporting staff and students in the production of music and video assessment work, and teaching students with an interest in this area how to run the technical side of theatre. They will also be required to support in the Digital Music Production suite with programmes such as Ableton and Sibelius, as well as support students in the recording studio. Additionally, the successful applicant will be using Photoshop and Premier to create images and videos for use within the department.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and be highly organised and versatile, and have the ability to communicate well with staff and students in a classroom environment. A relevant qualification and/or experience of working in a similar role would be desirable.
