INTRODUCING THIS EXCITING ENRICHMENT

Do you enjoy solving problems in a range of different contexts? Are you considering applying for a degree course in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics-related subject?

The pre-STEM enrichment may be for you.

• Develop mathematical problem solving and communication skills

• Explore different course options for STEM subjects

• Information and guidance with UCAS application process and writing your personal statement

• Support with university admissions tests such as STEP, MAT, TMUA, PAT and others

• Practice and feedback for university admissions interviews

• Opportunity to enter the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT?

Develop problem solving and mathematical communication skills; gain specific guidance on UCAS applications and interviews for STEM subjects; support with university admissions tests.

HOW OFTEN DOES THIS ENRICHMENT TAKE PLACE?

This is a weekly lunchtime enrichment starting at the beginning of year 1 and going through into year 2. The focus of the sessions changes throughout the two years to reflect the different stages of the application process and journey towards university or next steps. Students often bring their lunch along to the sessions.
