Wyke Sixth Form College is situated on a beautiful £28M university-style campus which provides a student centred community. The College has four separate buildings; Oak, Ash, Elm and Wilson. Together, these buildings house our extensive offering of over 45 Level 3 subjects and are linked by the outside landscaped courtyard and extensive social space.The Oak Atrium is home to a state-of-the-art Library with space for students to access both reading and online resources. There is also a contemporary Theatre which accommodates Drama & Theatre and Performing Arts subjects along with our annual Cross College Production.The Refectory serves a varied breakfast and lunch menu daily and is open for drinks and snacks throughout the day.Upstairs in Oak, the Music Department have a high-tech recording studio and our Media Department have video editing facilities, an apple mac suite and a visual effects green room.Ash is home to various subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Applied Science with their accompanying labs and experiment rooms. It is also home to Wyke’s creative hub; Fine Art, Graphic Design and Photography with an inbuilt Photography Studio.Next door, we have the Wilson Building, named after our long standing Chairman John Wilson. The building is home to our Social Science subjects including Sociology, Psychology and Criminology, alongside Humanities and Law. Not forgetting the famous Wilsons Waffles eatery.Our final building is Elm. This building houses our fantastic Dance and Fitness Studio which is used by Dance, Physical Education and Sport students. The studio is frequently used for many of our fantastic enrichments such as our lunchtime Yoga classes and our award-winning Dance Team. The upstairs teaching space is dedicated to our BTEC in Health & Social Care, along with our brand new T Level in Health course.
The main refectory, based in the Oak Building serves breakfast from 8:30am-10.30am where students can get anything from a full English breakfast to a continental offering or just some yogurt and fruit.
Lunch is served from 11.30am – 1.30pm and again a selection of hot and cold meals are available from Oaks Coffee bar and we have a main food counter, a fast takeaway counter an international bar, fresh salad bar and a fresh fruit bar which caters for all tastes and all at a very reasonable price too. There are TV screens showing daily menus and all allergens along with monthly meal deals.
The Wilson building hosts its own Bagel and Waffle Café Bar where hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, paninis and a selection of snacks are served.
A ticketed display screen ordering system is in place, open daily from 8:30am – 3.00pm keeping students and staff fuelled for their busy days.
Alongside our catering facilities, we have a number of vending machines located around college offering snacks and drinks.
Food and drinks can be purchased using your student ID which is linked to your ParentPay account.

One key to success in your studies is your active use of the Library and its resources. The Library which is housed in the Oak Building is a very impressive space that gives our students access to both reading materials and on-line resources.
The 200 seated Wyke Theatre, based in the Oak Building, is a very impressive space that is not just utilised by Performing Arts, Drama and Theatre Studies and our Dance courses, but by the entire college for special events, performances, guest speakers, fundraising and welcome talks, to name but a few.
