We are seeking an inspiring and experienced pastoral leader to join us in the influential role of Pastoral Director. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape and lead a high impact pastoral provision at the heart of a vibrant and ambitious college community.

We welcome applications from external candidates from all types and stages of education providers. If you are passionate about student progress, personal development and academic success, and are ready to make a lasting difference, we would love to hear from you.

A qualified teacher with substantial pastoral experience is required to lead the design, delivery and ongoing development of the College’s pastoral provision. As a key member of the College Leadership Team, you will play a central role in shaping strategy, driving improvement, and ensuring that every student is supported to thrive. You will design and lead a two year personal development curriculum, guiding students on a journey that prepares them for progression into higher education, apprenticeships and professional careers. Alongside this, you will drive academic progress through targeted intervention, monitoring and support, ensuring that high expectations and care go hand in hand.

As Pastoral Director, you will manage and develop a dedicated team of Pastoral Leads, overseeing their team of Progress Tutors, collectively supporting the wellbeing, academic performance and progression of approximately half of the student body. You will also work closely with an established Pastoral Director to take this area of provision forward, helping to shape an inclusive, forward thinking model of pastoral care.

Come and join the amazing learning culture that creates “The Wyke Experience”.

We offer a forward-thinking, welcoming college with supportive management and a modern environment. Benefits include a strong programme of staff development and membership of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and we welcome applications from a diverse range of applicants.
