EPQ CONFERENCE - Wednesday, 10 June, 3pm-6pm
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is the most popular academic enrichment opportunity at Wyke. This nationally recognised qualification, weighted as half an A Level, gives first year students the chance to undertake a largely self directed and self motivated project on a topic of their choice.
Students independently select a focus area, plan their approach, carry out in depth research and develop their ideas into a final outcome. The finished product may take the form of a research based written report, a production or an artefact.
This year’s programme showcases an impressive range of interests and academic curiosity. Projects include an exploration of how Germany has confronted the memory of the Holocaust through memorials and education, and an evaluation of Formula 1 as a sport and its influential aspects.
