Creative visual arts students joining Wyke’s Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media (FAD) this September are required to complete a piece of exploratory summer work. This preparation ensures that every student arrives ready to begin the course with confidence and a strong creative starting point. The Foundation Diploma is intended for students who plan to progress into an art and design related degree. Completing a Foundation course is widely recommended for creative pathways, providing the time, space and specialist guidance needed to build a high‑quality portfolio. As a post‑A level, pre‑degree programme, it supports students who want to deepen their intellectual rigour, explore a broad range of disciplines and refine their artistic direction.
