Get Ready for Results Day 2024

We are looking forward to sharing your results over the summer, here are the details about how this will take place:  

  

Level 3 Results Day - Thursday 15 August  

All level three results including A levels, BTECs, CTECs and Criminology will be released.   

 

Second year students – please come onsite to pick up your results so we can celebrate your achievements and give you any support that you might need. Results will be available from 8am in the Oak building, just come into college and pick up your results envelopes from the Learning Street.  Family members are welcome to attend and there will be light refreshments available.  If you are unable to attend, we will publish your results on the Student and Parent Portal from 10am.  

 

Please see below for guidance about what to do once you’ve received your results.  Should you need further advice and guidance about nextsteps, the tutor and careers team will be available to help you in the library on the day or will be available on Friday 16th for further discussions.

What Happens Next?

 

All subjects will be represented and teachers that are on site, will be available between 8am -11am. The exams team will have a desk in the atrium for any queries relating to Enquiries about Results (EAR) and Accessto Scripts (ATS), see below. For further information please see below.    

  

Wyke’s results day is a significant day on the media calendar. Over the last few years, national and local media have recorded and photographed the event for broadcast, print and web distribution. The Wyke marketing will be liaising with students and staff in the build up to the day, and sometimes as late as the day before, to coordinate interviews and press calls. The marketing team will also be recording and photographing the celebrations for social media, our website and future promotional use. 

 

If you are unable to attend, we will publish your results on the Student and Parent Portals from 10am, do give us a call if you need any support on 01482 346347.  

 

First year students – those of you expecting level 3 results such as vocational unit assessments, Criminology (Yr1), AS further maths, Core maths etc. should receive these when they are published at 10am on the Student and Parent Portals.  Please don’t come onsite as we want to prioritise supporting those students who are leaving college this year.  

   

Enquiries about Results (EAR) and Access to Scripts (ATS)  

Ifyou are not happy with the results you have received it may be appropriate torequest a review of marking.  Please do discuss all your options with a member of the pastoral team or with your course teachers before you make any decisions.  We have attached the details about the services available, this will also be printed on the back of your results slip.

You will need to give your consent, get approval from a teacher or a tutor and you may need to pay a fee for a review of marking.  You also need to be aware that marks can go down as well as up.  The exams team will be available to give further support during results day.   

  

GCSE Results Day – Thursday 22 August  

If you are expecting GCSE results, these will be published on Thursday 22nd August at 8am.  You are welcome to come in to collect these from Reception, but we will also publish them on the Student and Parent Portals at 8am.  

 

If you have any queries, please do get in touch with college.  We have staff onsite every day who can help you.  However, curriculum teams and tutors are not due to return until Tuesday 27th August, so they are unlikely to respond before then. The very best of luck to you all.
