Education settings from Hull, East Riding and North Lincolnshire are in discussions about forming a new Multi Academy Trust to provide exceptional education for children aged 3-18 across the Region.
The initial partners engaged in the proposed project are: The Riverview Family of Schools comprising of Baysgarth School and Castledyke Primary School in Barton upon Humber; The Market Weighton School, Mount Pleasant C of E Junior School and Market Weighton Infant School in Market Weighton; and Wyke Sixth Form College in Hull. Conversations are at an early stage, but all partners are committed to fully understanding the potential benefits of working together. Following this, settings may start the process of applying to convert to academy status and forming the new Multi Academy Trust.
Before this goes ahead, there will be a full consultation process for all who may beaffected. It is not expected that there will be any changes to any organisation's status until September 2024 at the earliest.
