It’s official: Wyke Sixth Form College is the top-performing college for sport in East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, and one of the elite institutions nationally for sporting achievement.

The Association of Colleges (AoC) Sport Points Table for the 2024–2025 season awarded Wyke a remarkable 86 points, and an impressive 12th place finish across the whole of England. That puts Wyke in the company of powerhouses like Loughborough College and Greenhead College, reaffirming its status as a national force in further education sport.

The AoC Sport Points competition recognises college performances across leagues, cups, regional tournaments, and national championships—and Wyke has truly excelled on all fronts.

“It’s been another incredible year for sport at Wyke,” said Head of Sport, Hollie Rhodes. “We are so proud of all the students who have contributed to another amazing year of sporting success. Sport at Wyke is by far the most popular enrichment with hundreds of students participating week in, week out. So, whether you want to study sport academically or as part ofyour enrichment programme, Wyke is the place to be.”

From national champions to international recognition, Wyke students have achieved big. In 2025, Our T1 Mixed Touch Rugby team were crowded national champions, students represented the college at national level and our leavers also secured sports scholarships to elite American universities.
